This place is quite drab looking. The lighting isn’t that good and only some stores survive past a few weeks. The crowd seems to be pretty tough. The atmosphere of the place is really bad, due to the poor lighting and the equally poor singing. The stalls that have survived thus far include: 1. The bao/pao shop. Their big pao/dai pao is a crowd pleaser as it is pretty big and has a fair amount of meat inside. They also have other dim sum like dishes, but I’ve never quite tried those. 2. The dai chow. Their double boiled soups are quite nice and fairly priced, but I reckon the contents differ with the mood of the person preparing. On some days they can be very generous with the contents and some days not so. Most people come here for this and to enjoy the karaoke session where people belt out old Chinese songs. 3. The noodle shops. Haven’t tried them, can’t say much 4. The nasi lemak shop5. The Burger shop. 6. A middle eastern food stall- I’ve never seen anybody order there ever. And well this isn’t exactly the kind of crowd who would be so adventurous to eat middle eastern food amidst all the Chinese stalls.
