Kura serves traditional Japanese cuisine and has one of the most beautiful decor I’ve seen in Malaysia. The staff are well trained, polite and prompt. There is a good selection of food – sashimi, noodles, fried/tempura, grilled, salad and the usual hand rolls on top – so there’s something for everyone. The sake selection is commendable too! To top it off, prices for food and sake is surprisingly affordable. Their only letdown is the flavour – everything is nice but none is particularly special or stands out. I’d recommend Kura if you’re looking for a fancy Japanese restaurant on a special occasion, but unfortunately not if you’re a foodie who loves Japanese food.
