We came to the Nihonkai at Sunway Mentari for Mother’s Day. There was a Mother’s Day Set for RM38. We got a dining room to ourselves but without door. When the food came we were amazed at the portion, it’s so generous. It very worth it for the price you pay, At other Japanese restaurants you pay the same or more, you get the portion half the size. Food was delicious but the chawan mushi could be better.Overall an excellent place if you are craving for Japanese food without burning a hole in your pocket.
Affordable and filling Japanese set lunch/dinner. A set of teriyaki salmon (comes with rice, miso soup & cawanmushi) for only RM25. Salmon was fresh and nicely done. The vinegard rice was nicely done too. Better to call in advance to reserve a place as the restaurant is small and usually occupied.
After attending the private session gathering with Datin Winnie Loo, founder of A’Cut Above sharing session at Sunway Mas Commercial Center (SMCC), I went to meet up with one of my ex-college classmate at Residensi Laguna. After pick up him, he shared with me a good place to eat Japanese food around Sunway area. The shop of the name is Nihonkai Japanese restaurant at Dataran Mentari area. Upon arrival, I just remember that I went to the same name restaurant before at the Nihon Kai Old Klang Road branch back in 1 year ago dated 30th January 2015. Well, I kinda like their outdoor and interior design that look alike with Japanese restaurant concept.
