Wanted to try the Beef Short-Ribs soup but was disappointed when the waiter came to inform us that it is unavailable today. So we ordered the ‘Yukgaejang’ Spicy Korean Beef soup instead and it turned out to be a good choice. For Rm22, we got strips of pulled beef and an assortment of julienned vegetables & fungus. It came with a bowl of rice. Next, we had the Seafood & Green Onion pancake for RM32. Tasted alright. We completed the meal with a bowl of Spicy Kimchi Ramen which was really fiery hot. All in I would say that it was a good dining experience with a cozy ambience. Will definitely return for more. Unfortunately, I did not capture any images because my friend was so eager to dig in and I didn’t want to make her wait…
I came here in the afternoon. Really wanted to have Korean but the place was empty! I saw the staff hiding behind after calling for someone. I don’t know whether this place is open or not.
I thought it was hard to go wrong with Korean but was quite disappointed with the food here. As an avid follower of korean food vlogger Maangchi on youtube I learnt how to cook and eat many koreans dishes from watching her channel. At the restaurant I ordered the Japchae which tasted overly sweet and wasn’t a fan of the added seafood on top. The bulgogi was okay, I thought that it needed more aroma from garlic, ginger and sesame oil which it was lacking. I also ordered the mandu soup which tasted quite bland and it was served in quite a large bowl so I had to take away japchae because there was too much food. The kinchi the best sour and pungeant flavor that cut through the sweetness of everything, the bean sprouts were quite bland, spinach was so-so and the anchovies were suprisingly palatable as I usually don’t like anchovies. I wasn’t a fan of the eggplant, didn’t bother tasting it more than once. The pancake wasn’t anything memorable, and the spicy red radish was so-so.Overall, I thought the food was, sad to say, unfortunately mediocre.
