The ambience in this restaurant is excellent. Its so relaxing and authentically decorated afrikaan. they had great meat grilled selections and the flavours and spices were good. The only issue I had with this experience was there was delay in food being served and it took a little time to get attended. Perhaps it was a busy day indeed
Walking in, I told myself that I was going home to scramble a meal myself tonight.But this secluded theme-ish place has some pretty amazing food to go with and even more boozy margaritas. The crowed picks up fairly late into dinner time. The service staff are chatty in a friendly yet lack of human interaction kind of way. Nothing bad though.It’s the closest you’d feel whilst at a holiday as there is a community pool right next to it, where you could lounge around for a meal and/or drinks(s). The vibe, food and drinks has strangely struck a cord in my heart.
Better make reservations as this place can be packed on the weekends. My partner and I loved our first visit here. We were kind of worried as it was our first time having South African dishes but we were very pleased with not only the food but service was good too. We had Ostrich filler, Ox tongue, Lamb Samosas, Chicken liver pare and Brandy cake. You can basically find all kinds of meat here (except for pork)
