The cashier is really attentive and friendly in giving infos about what to order and also giving greetings when i first come into the cafe. The atmosphere is really welcoming, warm and cozy much to my liking. The unique trend of this cafe is that its grilled cheese is rather unique and hipster like and totally recommended for anyone to try it out.I ordered pesto salmon grilled cheese with brioche bread and matcha latte.

You can come in either jeans or in your jacket for biz meet and yet you would still feel very much welcome.I must salute their chefs as well. Young but talented. Heard they are MSU graduates. Kudos to MSU ! The boy at the counter plays a very good spokesperson too. I’d definitely make a comeback even for umpteenth time & have recommended Commoners to frens & loved ones. Good sourdough grilled cheese sandwich. The crust was on point and the crumb had good texture. Bought a loaf of the same sourdough home had it plain. Love its yeasty aroma. Crumbs were still in tact when sliced open. Definitely coming again for good bread craving fix.
Have always like their sourdough bread. Just amazing compare to a lot of other places (table and apron has one of the worst). Their grilled cheese with bacon is a must for cheese lover and the sourdough bread is another reason why it is good. kombucha is in their drinks menu and worth a try. Pasta wise, only tried their shintake mushroom pasta. The dish came our cold. Overall, I like the ambience and their simple decor.
Loved the matcha latte and iced chocolate. Had the tomato soup for dinner and pulled beef sandwich for lunch the other time, I’d really enjoyed it. In love with their sourdough bread especially. Keep up the good work guys! Just wish the tomato soup’s portion is a bit bigger – just because I enjoyed it so much. Cheers!!
