They lack in their vegetarian options when it comes to the rice spread. There are twenty thousand meat dishes and a miserable vegetable option to choose from (the cucumber salad doesn’t count as a side by the way). Service is slow and painstakingly frustrating. The whole restaurant needs a proper scrubbing. It’s far too grimy for my liking.
Been here at like 2 am for supper. Ordered their cheese naan and some other food to share. The cheese naan wasn’t bad, I like their curry dipping. A bit salty, but suits the naan well. Theres also a satay stall outside, satay tasted good, also the peanut sauce. For the place, It was better than most mamaks, they have indoor air conditioned place which was quite comfy.
Taj Curry House is a godsend to anyone who has to spend time at Sunway Medical Centre directly across the road. It is open 24 hours, air-conditioned and serves up comforting rotis, nasi campur and mee goreng. It gets better. During the evenings, the tandoor stall and satay stall opens, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find better satay in the whole of Subang. We visited Taj many times, but mostly to eat satay. The satay vendor starts late, around 7pm and is very popular. There is only choice of chicken or beef. The meat pieces are smaller than Haji Samuri (read typical size), and there is a small piece of chicken skin in the middle of the skewer. This is genius; the fat seasons the meat as it melts and the skin goes a great charred goodness. The beef satay is tender and just as delicious. This place is so good, BL and I ate here five nights in a row. I know, I know, just insanity.
