I been to this cafe a few times their pasta used to be good. Anyway i just visited this cafe a few days ago and the food is horrible. I ordered chicken bolognese with a poach egg and an americano, while my friends ordered aglio olio and carbonara. When my bolognese came, the first bite i took was so salty and full of black pepper. To make sure it wasn’t just something wrong with my tastebuds i asked my friends to try and they agree too. So i requested the kitchen to remake another for me. When the second plate came, its less salty compared to the first plate but its still salty and overwhelmed with pepper. My friends pasta were not that salty, but the chef put too much of black pepper it became black pepper pasta instead.Real disappointment man, and I didn’t even finish my pasta considering I usually finish all my food.

This is one of my favourite places to get some cheap eats. They serve RM6.50 pasta with two options (tomato base or cream base). Personally I feel that their tomato base is far more flavourful than their cream base. Portion is decent for their price point. The pasta has not many toppings and no protein. However, you may request for add-ons with additional charges. I’ve tried their chicken breast add-on for RM6.90 which is more than the price of the basic pasta. The whole chicken breast is quite big, super juicy and well-seasoned.They also serve other western foods and desserts. As for their price range, it is quite comparable to other cafes within the vicinity. Environment is quite cosy and servers are friendly. They would also give out free side dishes or desserts to their Instagram followers on Saturdays so feel free to check them out.

Instead of going on the full cafe front like its’ neighbors, Brot’z decided to go on the bakery route. Or at least offer something that doesn’t require cooking nor melt once it’s out of the fridge. Iced chocolate because all that carbs can make you thirsty. Excellent? No. Good? Not quite. Just not too sweet but it also wasn’t very thick either.

Price : RM 6.50 for pasta + RM1.50 for poached egg + RM 5 for beef bacon + RM 7.90 for hot English Breakfast Tea.Reasonable PriceTaste : Pasta not too soft or thick, portion not too small, just nice for a casual dine-inAmbience : Friendly staff, good service, not too noisy.Overall : A great place to hang out with friend or a nice place to chill alone 🙂
