Have you tried taiyaki before? This would be my first. To be honest, I think it’s quite an expensive waffle but I don’t want to live to regret not trying it at least once before they all close down for good. To err on the safe side, we picked the cheapest one: a basic waffle with a filling of your choice. The more extravagant ones can go up to RM 16 and comes with ice cream, chocolate etc.
I really like the modern and hipster vibe about the cafe but the entrance is a bit more confusing. I really like the new twist about the red velvet taiyaki with the ice cream cream cheese. It really is delicious and will return to the cafe soon.
The cafe was really cute and the lighting was so nice , the photos I took look so pretty !I reccomend the original red bean one and the red velvet oneThe bread was crispy on top and soft and fluffy at the bottomIt would be better if there was more red bean paste for the filling thoughIt was such a tiny amountbut other than that I would totally go again !
This cafe is no longer operating in SS15, sadly. I’ve been wanting to come but when I did Cafe Aboong was no longer in business. Zomato does not update restaurant close downs. I hope they can improve the app in the future.
