Opted for the CNY ala carte instead of set. The soup we chose, double boiled chicken soup with abalone and cordyceps flower was just like soup boiled slowly and meticulously by mama. We got to taste a combination of roasted pork, char Siew and roasted duck from the combination platter. The three meat compliment each other. Next we were served the braised assorted dried seafood in treasure pot. Well stewed and the mixture of dried oysters, fish maw, mushrooms, beancurd. Big slices of garoupa fish were included in the plate of braised egg noodles. Not to forget the greens – stir fried snow peas and carrot with scallops, stir fried kai lan with mushrooms. We ended up our dinner with chilled herbal jelly with honey. Heartening dinner with family members in a nice setting – great atmosphere.
Food is always good here. Fish and beef dishes are excellent. However, service must be improved. Servers are slow and unattentive even when the restaurant is half empty.
This is a high end restaurant. Service is excellent, and the staff is extremely attentive. The food is creative and flavorful. We had the salted egg fish skin, fried shrimp, roast meat combo, broccoli florets with mushroom, Chinese herb soup and fried rice. All excellent but expect that this will be quite expensive.
Enjoy a feast of Chinese cuisines at Di Wei Chinese Cuisine Restaurant which serves authentic Chinese dishes that will transport your taste buds on a gastronomical affair. Top recommended dishes are their Signature Herbal Chicken in Rock Salt, the Roasted Piglet, and my favourite Fresh Tiger Prawns Braised with Milk and Pumpkin Cream Sauce
Arriving at Empire Shopping Mall with the two friends who returned for a holiday, the onus was on me where lunch should be. Having tried a number of eateries at this shopping mall, I suggested we should walk to Empire Hotel to see what’s in store for us. Instead of the hotel buffet lunch, we agreed that Di Wei certainly will be a better option.A modern and stylish Chinese restaurant and featuring an abundant variety of items, we opted for Peking Duck, Tempura Fried Veggies, Fried Chicken Wing, White Fungus With Papaya and Steamed Custard Cake.
