Popped by out of curiosity. Due to foodies mostly speaking favourably about Hype Concept. Parking as usual, as you know is a killer in Subang Jaya, thank god I was driven here. Reminded me of the yesteryears Teapot in SS2 which does not exists anymore. Mainly because of the colourful teapots. Packing back a couple of their cakes, chocolate cake, Durian cake and macaroons, these were appreciated for my sugar rush, but were they unique and outstanding? I’m afraid not.
Nice ambiance for tea/coffee. Got charged for the wrong item so got it changed. Macaroons are very cute but expensive (RM 5.50 ech). I ordered Salted Caramel and Lavender Honey, salted caramel doesn’t taste like salted caramel more like only caramel. Lavender has a bit fragrant taste but both is way tooooo sweet. think my eyelashes dropped from the sweetness. Pumpkin soup (RM10.90) is too watery.Mashed potato (RM9.90) is slightly dry, and the sauce tasted funny – sourish. I asked the girl at the counter what flavor is the sauce and she said black pepper. I said that is not black pepper. She took it back and made a new one for me. The new batch of mashed potato is even drier than the one before and the sauce is sooooo SALTY. I’m not kidding. Think half of the hair on my hair dropped from the SALTINESSS. The food/dessert/drinks are not cheap. Coming here for tea/coffee will be more suitable and safe.

The only good side was that the tea was excellent and the guy offered a complimentary dessert as he messed up the order. Do come here for an expensive tea but not suitable for lunch
