If this place sounds familiar, that’s because you may know about their other more famous sibling.Fortunately, the crowd is more manageable and you don’t need to wait or stand outside for a table. Parking, though, is probably a bigger challenge. So, is the food here as good as the original? Stir fry fern is something that I like to order when it’s on the menu because it’s such a rarity. This one used an older plant so there were more stalks which were too fibrous to chew. We opted for a non-spicy style, a little salty.

My first time at this restaurant and i walked in at the wee hours when they were taking their last calls before the kitchen closed. Therefore i didnt hav the chance to snap a photo of the menu. Nevertheless, we managed to order a few of their recommended dishes such as garlic pork(rm16) and nyonya fish(rm18). The taste was lovely and the garlic pork came with a lot of deep fried garlic (warning:with the amount of garlic i ate,i can ward off vampires) 60%garlic,40%pork. As for the fish slices, there were quite a few chunk of fish slices with long beans, ladies fingers, brinjal and tomato covered in thick nyonya gravy. It goes well with the garlic pork. Ordered another sweet potato leaves vege(rm12) as well to top off our dinner with a balanced diet of vege and meat. The bill came up to rm56.70 inclusive of 3rice and a pot of hot water. All in all, i find this is a place worth coming back to with a vast variety of dishes, tasty food, good service and reasonable price.
