Honestly, I never knew this restoran existed until 3 days ago. We popped by to check out and mind you, we were not disappointed. Tea time is a great time here. Nasi lemak, Mee goreng, puttu, pal appam and what not, including roti, tosai, rice and side dishes.Mee goreng, paper tosai, pal appam and bru coffee were super, though egg sambal is rated as just okay. We won’t mind returning again, especially for the pal appam I am in love with. Service must be applauded as well
I do not recall the last time I had myself a banana leaf rice or ‘yilleh sappedeh’. Whenever I feels hungry to the max, banana leaf restaurants are the place that im always heading for.Chetties is one of them. This is their third outlet that located in Taman Universiti area. But this time I didnt went for Banana Leaf but for chicken biryani instead. I already had a chicken pie and a chicken curry puff before hand but I just cant sau no to biryani. It was one hell of a meal and it’s really delicious. I just couldn’t finished it up because I’m already full. The place was nice, considering it’s still new and the air-cond is refreshing. Will be back there for sure for the banana leaf.
This banana leaf style restaurant has a really good chicken / mutton biryani to offer. Was in this area during lunchtime on a Saturday and decided to give it a try. There was chicken biryani, mutton fry, dal / sambhar / chicken curry, etc., laid out as a buffet style where you could take whatever you want and pay accordingly. The staff is courteous and willing to help you out if you look confused. The biryani tasted good, so did the mutton fry and the sambhar / curd were good to have with the biryani. A nice little joint for good, classic south Indian food.
