Mercado SANO is a community project with a specific ambition to satisfy local demand for sustainable, organic, quality and hand-crafted goods that include high caliber food as well as basic and specialty products far removed from industrial manufacturing and damaging environmental and energy loads. Located in the historical center of San Miguel de Allende, Mercado SANO is a large, common market founded by a group of small producers including farmers, artisans, cooks, fish mongers, coffee roasters, mushroom hunters, ceramicists, pastry cooks, beekeepers, ranch owners, fashionistas, soap makers, teachers, designers, therapists, and food producers focused on providing quality provisions directly to local consumers. Our common goal is to offer the local community direct access to food and basic goods and to eliminate intermediaries, excessive chemical residue and poor working conditions. Please stop by!
