About
We will be close Nov. 1 until Dec.5 ...no reason to compete with our towns annual fiesta and American Thanksgiving.. see you in Dec with new wines from Priorat. Little Ajijic has cheeses and wines you will not find anywhere else in Jalisco and an ambience to sooth the soul. The patio of our old adobe home is the setting for your excursion into another world .. We offer European Charcuterie, fine wines from around the world and some excellent labels of Mexican origin. The name, Charracate comes from the original owner of the adobe home where Chez is located .. The locals called him El Charracate ..no seems to know where the nick name came from. He was the local milkman, the milk cows lived in what is now the large garden area located behind Chez. He carried the mild on his old mare, around town. There is an oil painting of him on his horse with the milk cans hanging inside Chez. We are available for your private party any day with a minimum of 12 people and minimum consumption.
