The cafe is in a good location, walkable from our hotel on the main road. the espresso and coffee were great, and the smoothies as well. But the best part was the service from our smiling hostesses. We will return on our next trip!
Looking for a breakfast place and found this spot. Good food. No credit card accepted, cash only. They exchange at 16 peso per dollar rather than 18 for all other places. These items were not posted so shocked at the exchange
Enjoyed this cafe for breakfast and coffee most mornings as was close to our hotel. Service was efficient and friendly. Prices very reasonable. Coffee and breakfast were very good with varied menu. Enjoyed the waffles with fruit and honey. Open every day except Sunday.

What I love about Cafe Canela is that it’s not just another American coffee shop knock-off. They make some really great pastries (such as their tentaciones), and without a doubt, their espresso is the best I’ve had in PV. Recommend.
Just a delightful place for coffee and panini. Prices are reasonable. Staff pleasant and helpful. Ambience eclectic. The kind of place you can visit in pyjamas or a tux.
