Pricey, but the food is incredible and the service is impeccable. We really enjoyed our dinner as Casa Amate – the drinks were good (though the wine pours were ridiculously tiny for $20 a glass), appetizers were excellent and mains were delicious.

Nothing special about this place. Lots of Peruvian dishes. Go because you’re stuck in the Mayakoba compound for a week and it’s convenient. Don’t go if you came for some bomb Mexican food.
We had dinner during our last night at the Andaz. The food at Casa Amate was excellent and beautifully prepared. We sat outside, which was really gorgeous.
This restaurant was always booked out and we managed to get a reservation but the food could be improved. Additionally, the interiors of the place need some updating.
