If you are looking for cafe lechero, in the style of Gran Cafe de La Paroquia, but with no lines, better breakfast, and lower cost. This is the spot. The locals love it too.
Café la Merced gives an authentic taste of Old Veracruz, which is sort of like Havanna. It is, in my opinion, close to the real thing, and not at all like Disneyland or other corporate this-or-that’s. It’s wonderful.
The coffe is good and when in need the bathrooms are clean. It is always a good thing to surch out usuable bathrooms.
