Off The Beaten Track is a new cafe/Bar near downtown Yangon specifically created for independent travellers (both local, expat and visitors) to get updated information on alternative travel destinations in Myanmar "off the beaten track" and act as a meeting and exchange point for fellow journeyers while having a drink and/or a light meal. Travel destinations in Myanmar are continuously opening and closing as the political dynamics of the country change, and up to date information on where travellers can visit is changing constantly. To create an open space for information exchange on alternative traveling in Myanmar, Off The Beaten Track Cafe was founded by a former veteran tour guide and an NGO worker for adventurous and socially minded independent travellers who wish to go beyond the "Big 5" and who want to take home more than just photos from their travels in Myanmar. The cafe serves also as a place to leave messages for others and just to relax in the green space of Kandawgyi Park.
