Its never a good start when you have to question yourself if he place is even open. The place was empty and dull. We sat down at a table that didnt even look like it had been cleaned. The food was below average and needed tomato sauce to hide the taste.
im sorry to say is one of the worst dining experience ever.we have waited for almost an hour to be served since they only have one chef.Food on the other hand is dreadful. the meat tasted like been into the freezer for many years with no beefy taste. the risotto is super salty and added a lot of white pepper. feel like a baby food.
Came here for my mums 60th birthday with the treat me 3 course meal. I can safely say that everybody thoroughly enjoyed all three of their courses. I ordered the vege risotto which was one of best risottos I’ve had. My mum got the lamb shanks and they were slow cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was lovely and our server was great, super friendly and helpful and as the last people at the resturant they didn’t rush us in anyway to finish up. Will definitely be back!
Came here for lunch with a grabone voucher and ordered the garlic bread to share, sirloin steak and chicken roulade for main, cheesecake and brownies for desserts. Decor was a bit old and cold, bit the waitress serving us was friendly. Garlic bread was really good, however we were let down by the mains. Portions were good but the flavours were weird for us, we did not enjoy the mains at all. Cheesecake was okay but brownies were really lovely.
Popped in here Sunday mid-late morning to try out the grabone 3 course set menu deal and wasn’t disappointed. Don’t be shy folks, certainly worth the price. It was fairly quiet when we attended so the service was excellent and the time line over the 3x courses expected. Meal presentation well done. Thanks for a great start to the day.
The folks here were nice enough to host me for a drink while I waited for the AA to help with my broken down car a week ago. They claimed that they had the best pizza in Albany. A big claim.Went back last night for pizza. Think they might be right, best pizza in Albany. Our new go-to place for pizza!
Recommended to us for great pizzas and they did not disappoint. The place is nothing flash, clean and tidy, simply a pleasant casual place to eat, as mentioned below, a bit cold in winter, but they do have portable heaters. Very happy with the food provided. We had entree and mains and we could not fault the food, presentation taste and value for money and friendly service. What more can do you want?
