SuSu is a welcome addition to the wide range of cafes and restaurants in the Albany area. It specialises in deep fried chicken, and roast meals. We have been there to lunch three times, going for the deep fried chicken as this is one of our favourite types of food, especially for lunch. We have had the chicken burger, chicken fingers, and chicken schnitzel (small) – basically a whole chicken breast coated in a light batter and deep fried – tender, juicy and YUM, and definitely not small! The burger is equally as good – instead of the usual chicken patty, the burger is filled with a battered schnitzel which is larger than the buns (and larger than their advertising photo of the burger). The chicken fingers are also available in a wrap. The chips were done to perfection, being crisp on the outside and light and fluffy inside. We have not tried the roast meals and therefore make no comment on them, but for tasty, tender chicken breasts SuSu’s Kitchen is hard to go past.
