Wouldnt recommend, bad service, charges MORE than the price it says on the MENU!Poor servicePoor FoodIncreasing Price everydayVery cheap place, just like the cheap service and cheap bland food.I wish there was a ZERO star rating.
We get the ‘fish and chips’ from here and are always very pleased. Crumbed fish is good. Cheeseburger is good. Chips are gooooood. Prices are decent too. Would 100% recommend.
Honestly the worst place ever. Ordered a chow mein with extra noodles I got near to none noodles… sweet and sour pork so over cooked it’s like leather. I wonder if they have ever changed their oil because their wontons are horrible everything was not worth spending $52! I called and complained and she didn’t even care. What a joke never go here
I have bought a variety of dishes here now, and I thoroughly recommend them. The service is friendly, fast and efficient. I love the fact that you can purchase a good vegetable meal for those times when you’re busy or working long hours. I love their Chow Mein and Chop Suey as they give a really good selection of vegetables. It’s sometimes hard to find a Takeaway Shop that will give you a meal with broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, onion, cabbage, carrot, zucchini and Capsicums. The fried rice has peas spring onion and sprouts. I love being able to get these vegetable meals with the meat of your choice. This is a huge thumbs up for this business, they do well.
My family loves Brookfield Takeaways and has been going their for over 8 years. It is the best Chinese takeaways in Albany. We are locals that enjoy its delicious Chinese and fish & chips. We know the owner by name Linda and she is always happy, helpful and funny. The food is very quick with a generous amount and since we are loyal customers she remembers us and knows exactly what we what. I would recommend this takeaways to anyone in Albany. Thank you Linda and Brookfield takeaways can’t wait to place another order.
They are quite stingy. If we go there to order some fries( $3 worth) the woman who works there will charge us greatly for a squirt of sauce and be very stingy with it. Also quite rude people there. Unsure of hygiene have gotten rotten dumplings from here before.
I don’t think takeaway shops get the love they deserve, generally speaking. They are our obliging companions to those long days when you have zero energy to prepare dinner, or when you’re out of ideas for what the next meal would be, or those late night cravings for something filling and salty. If you’re me, the reason doesn’t matter, you can always count on me to create random excuses any day of the week to avoid cooking only because I want Chinese takeaway. I don’t need a reason to have takeaway, wanting it is enough (haha).Brookfield Takeaway was our go-to place for takeaway when we still lived in Albany. Eventually, it became the ONLY place we’d go for takeaway after trying out a few places in the area. Our usual combo is their steak fried rice ($10) and sweet and sour pork on fried rice ($13). Their steak fried rice is already a complete meal with the amount of tender and chewy stir-fried strips of beef it comes with aside from the usual vegetables. They seem to take the measurement of their ingredients seriously as I’ve never had an overly salty or bland dish from them, they always come out just right. Now I don’t like sweet and sour pork fried rice, but theirs I thoroughly enjoy. The pork is coated in a thick and tasty breading which prevents the sauce from overwhelming the taste of the protein. The sauce itself leans more on the sour side than the sweet side, which I love. Both dishes are very filling for two, we usually have leftover fried rice enough for both of our lunches the next day.Apart from the food, what sets them apart is the owners’ conscious effort in providing good customer service. The owners and lovely and cheerful, I’ve had random chats with them while waiting for my order. I live in town now but would gladly take a trip across the bridge to have their steak fried rice again. halohaloatbp.wordpress.com
