Terrible service. I will not come back again, and will also let my friends to know how terrible service I have met! The cashier charged me wrong money. Not really feeling her apologize. No smile!
I came early this morning, about 7.30 intending to eat breakfast here, but my first impressions disinclined me and I just ordered a coffee. The place was quite busy though I was able to get a corner table and a copy of the Herald to read.At the entrance is a display fridge filled up with an array of plastic containers of various cooked foods. The whiteboard above the counter only has a couple of breakfast items on it and a blackboard menu on a side wall doesn’t include any breakfast dishes either.The coffee was nice and strong. The cafe has a large kitchen but an unattractive counter area that is in need of a rethink.
Absolutely terrible cafe. You can get better food at the bakery next door. I had a bad experience a couple of months back where a friend and I ordered coffee and food, and both of us commented on how the food tatsed of dirty oil and was just gross. Yesterday my partner went there for lunch as she just works nearby, ordered the corn fritters with salmon. After incorrectly bringing eggs benedict with salmon (which looked normal), they eventually returned with the abomination pictured below. We wouldn’t feed this rubbish to our cats. Needless to say we will never return, the staff aren’t nice, the food is disgusting and with Altura, Mozaik and many other good quality cafes nearby I will be recommending all friends and colleagues to steer well clear of this sad excuse for a cafe.
Went here for breakfast on Sunday morning – worst breakfast I’ve ever had. I ordered the special of corn fritters. When they arrived I could hardly slice through them they were so hard & rubbery. They were drowned in sweet chilli sauce with a bit of very hard baked up bacon – not even any toast. I would never go back to this place again – it was disgusting
Loved the coffee – just heavenly. Will be back for more of that coffee! I went with a friend who comes here often, we both had eggs benedict and the eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was crispy – just how I like it. The service was relaxed and friendly. My friend also brought some fudge to send to someone for a gift. Great little spot.
Worse cafe ever! Rosedale and William Pickering location has plenty of cafes. This one is the worse not only around that area, but in general. Here are the reasons: 1. Owner of the place is meanest person ever. It is a mystery why she has chosen to work in service industry. Her attitude is poising the environment, and her employee don’t stay there long. 2. It is small and crowded place, without any charm. Old dusty shelves with overpriced useless items piled in the middle of the main room. Too many tables squeezed insight. The only reasonable place is outside in open.3. Coffee is ok, but not great. In case of an friendly service, it would taste fine, but when it is being served by someone unhappy and unfriendly, the taste is rather bitter and not enjoyable. 4. There is no way to relax in that place. You can hear heated argument between owner and the staff, whom she is exploiting. It is noisy and quite hot insight.
I come here almost every week to get food for staff meetings, the sandwiches are great prices and are always gobbled up quickly. I have also been here for lunch myself, I had the BLAT. It was AMAZING!!! Best BLAT I have ever had! And there coffee is great too!
