Updated: March 2018 Ordered a large takeaway order with 6 orders. 3 of them were pad thais. The two chicken ones were terrible. Worst I’ve ever had. It wasn’t very flavourful and had a weird off fishy taste. I am super disappointed. This could have been just one a one off. I’ve ordered takeaways from them before. But this is super disappointing. 2017This place has newly switched owners, I believe are now owned by Koreans, but the food still tastes quite authentically Thai. We ordered a Pad Thai and their Pad Kow Mee which is kind of like a spicey pad Thai missing the the peanuts and beans sprouts. The Pad Thai is really tasty, flavourful and moist. I’m not sure how the other dish is supposed to taste but it was also quite delicious. In terms of flavors, it’s a lot more intense, not just because it’s spicy, but also in its sweet and saltiness. For a spicy dish it’s not that spicy. More like a mild spice dish.

Papaya thai restaurant used to be different restaurant which i used to not like. Same ambience and new name but food was better! Mixed entree was excellent and scallop dish and chicken cashew were yum.

Highly recommend! 10 stars!!We had been searching and searching for a nice place to celebrate our nana’s 70th for over 20 family members and was recommended here by a friend who is a regular here and what a fantastic night we had! Was greatly impressed and ever since we’ve been recommending this place to everyone!Although we were a big group we felt like we had our own space not talking on top of others which I liked! Very spacious with elegant decor and great background musicBut the highlight of the night was def the food! There was so much selection to the menu we left it to the waitress. We ordered a great variety from the starters to the main and all the dishes were so flavourful. It had the nice kick you would expect from Thai food. The presentation and portion size was more than enough and we left very very full.If I had to choose my favourite had to be the duck curry with the roti bread- craving it ever since. The pork ribs was also very juicy and the sizzling lamb was also very tender and flavourful! We were also impressed they were able cater all dishes gluten free or vegan to suit.Overall score:ambiance: 5/5flavour: 5/5service 5/5value for money 5/5There are many Thai restaurants in Albany and we’ve tried probably tried them all, but hands up the best Thai we’ve had in a long time! All in all this place is a hidden gem! If your looking for a place to host a big group would def recommend here! See you again for my birthday next month!

Very very bad experience with this rude and old owner.(he said:I am the owner) 🙁 I will never never recommend my friends to go this restaurant.

Their food is amazing!! I especially love their plate P1 but when ordering over the phone it is hard to say the names of the dishes which turns out a bit confusing. However have to give only 4 stars as ever since new management took over, price went up so so much!!

We ordered duck green curry and a fish. Service is good. But the duck is not good. We paid 20+ only for 3 pieces meat, the rest all duck skin. And we told the manager when we paid the bill. He said we should tell him before we eat. Are you kidding? Who will check the amount of meat and the quality of meat before you eat? So every guest should classify meat, veg, soup when the dish is coming. The rice is not traditional Tailand long grain rice.3 stars for waitress, and we saw manager tried his best to wipe the table.

Thai inspired decorative pieces, roomy and with background thai music. Big tables to fit groups and smaller tables for more intimate dinners next to the big french doors that let in the bright light.Wait Time Arrived around 6pm on a Friday night and the place was surprisingly empty (probably because it was a long weekend), the staff was very friendly and food came within 15 mins for two people. We ordered the panang curry, mixed vegetables and the lamb hot plate! The lamb was soft and rich in flavour. I got medium panang curry but I probably shouldve ordered Hot. Medium curry is like a mild at Nandos. Would come again with my big family!
