  fried chicken is always cold soggy and way overpriced. been there maybe 10 times over 4 years because its close to me and i always tell myself it will be different this time but it never is

They have one of the largest selections of bakery goodies I’ve come across and it seems like it doesn’t matter what you order – everything is amazing. Their range of pies is spot on. They have all the classics while also having some fancier choices such as steak & bacon, creamy chicken & cheese, steak & kumara etc, but they don’t feel inclined to hit their customers with cafe-esque prices like some places do. Their cakes/slices are just as good – all your usual donuts and slices, with a selection of custom goodies you can’t seem to find anywhere else. Even the traditional cup of chips are a step above the usual bakery standard, with a generous sprinkling of chicken salt. I’m yet to discover anything from Top Star that disappointed me.The lady who owns the bakery brings a whole new level to customer service. I hadn’t been to this place in close to 4 years and she still remembered me. Whenever one of my friends asks where to find a good bakery in Auckland, I recommend Top Star – and they all tend to make it their new go-to. If you haven’t discovered TS Bakery yet, make it your mission to check them out.Little tummy: My boyfriend loves this place and has been wanting to take me here for ages, so he inevitably ended up bringing me here for a Satur-date (yes – that is how much he loves the place, he brought me here for a date). To be fair, upon trying their food, Top Star would rank right there with one of the best bakeries I’ve tried in Auckland. Each and every item we ordered was delicious. The black forest slice in particular would be enough for me to be happy to come back. I can see why my boyfriend is in love with this place hahaha
