Heard about this place online so we thought we would give it a try. We were really happy with our meals and the service! I got the creamy mushrooms which had a delicious sauce with bits of bacon and came with ciabatta bread and two hash browns on the side. The hash browns were SO delicious and cooked to crispy perfection!! My partner loved his eggs benny as well. The service is great-super friendly and welcoming! We will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items on offer!
Really miss Gusto. The last owners were committed to great food and hygiene, were so friendly without being intrusive. Loved the relaxed atmosphere, table layout, great coffee and meals and their cabinet foods included gluten free for those who needed it. They brought it back from near extinction revived it and it was thriving, was my fave local drop-in cafe when passing. Located in a great space before the shopping centre with easy parking. Filled a niche in the cafe scene. Thanks Gusto team 🙂
Worst cafe ever. I came in for lunch, got the chicken burger, and it tasted bad. The chicken was overcooked, and clearly not marinated or any nice spices applied to it. For just one burger (and a ton of fries which I did not want) it costed $20!!!! A complete rip off, all the other things on the menu were overpriced as well. I stay away from it like the plague now.
Definitely the best place for breakfast in Orewa or Silverdale. We had bacon and eggs and they were superb. Perfectly cooked eggs, bacon brown and crispy, you even get a choice of toast, all washed down with a generous pot of tea. Very friendly staff, and fast service, thanks we will be back!
They are superb the staff are friendly welcoming nothing is too much trouble. the spot for toddlers is great. The food is very nice.love having a bite to eat there. thanks guys !!!
Great place. Was very fresh and tasty. I had a chicken burger. They managed to get the chicken breast meat char grilled but still moist which is hard to do. My wife had a BLAT with very crunchy tasty wedges and fresh salads etc. Highly recommend.
I realised the other day that my favourite little cafe was willing to deliver my much needed coffee in the morning, I love the cheese scones! I was a bit iffy when there was new owners taking over but they have not let me down. All is well when you try gusto’s coffee!
