Weird experience here. Ordered a couple of drinks from the wait staff who greeted us, who initially seemed lovely. But they just never came back with our order. Seems silly, but we were outside and waited for more than 15 minutes and they never came back with our drinks order! Never had that happen before. Anywhere. Haha.
Ive been to JACs a number of times and each time the staff have been friendly and welcoming. Such a beautiful venue with its amazing views. The food has always been great and my wife who is celiac is always looked after whenever we are there. My only problem is theres too much food on my plate haha so the waistline takes a hammering. Keep up the good work #OpenSteakSandwich
Never eating here again untill they 1 have new owners and 2 new chef. Four meals and all were horrible seafood chowder was like water fish and chips the fish was sooo over cooked parts of the batter you couldn’t even cut! Salt and pepper squid was oily and soggy, and the nachos had no mince! Also the chairs still had bit of food on them so hadnt been wiped and the window sill had a few old chips sitting on it that no one bothered to clean
Place was busy as it was quiz night but we had booked a table for 7 a month in advance. Only had 2 waitresses working despite expected crowd and neither was apparently experienced. Kept forgetting our orders. Plates left uncleared. Sticky dirty tables. Food was below average to average. $36 fillet arrived with cold undercooked potato gratin and cold hard vegetables. Had to ask 3 times for water. Had to beg for someone to take dessert order. Only good thing was the dilmah tea.
Great service, bangers when youre the last group in. Perfect for your local pub with a great range of different drinks and foods. Plus, options to sit outside and in
Great service, big hearty portions. Nothing radical in the food department but good old fashioned reliable pub food. There’s something for everyone here.
Booked for 1.00 Birthday Lunch with family members, First dish arrived 1 hour later followed 5 minutes by 2nd dish then 10 min. 3rd, 10 min. 4th dish, 2 minutes 5th. Then after prompting to ask when the last dish would be served it arrived 3 minutes later at 2.30pm.Although the staff where friendly the service was appallingly slow. The fish could not be eaten, described as Tarakihi looked more like macherel with a thick blood line clearly visible. The fries were greasy very overcooked and the Thai Beef Salad was huge very tasty but the meat was chewy. The Sliders were beautiful however as was the Stonegrilled meal cooked by 14 yr herself.Very disappointed, as a lovely venue but the tables need resurfacing and the menus are not well presented.Slow service due to lack of staff but really in the peak of a busy holiday season with many visitors around.
