Visited Amano bakery while doing some errands in Britomart and was pleasantly surprised with all the baked goods on offer. It was hard to chose because everything looked so good but we ended up choosing a Pain au chocolat and a lemon tart. The Pain au chocolat was super buttery and crunchy. The chocolate inside was the perfect and worked well with pasty, it coated every bite. Loved the Kumeu Orange drink as well, tasted like freshly squeezed oranges which I love and it had no pulp! Really enjoyed Amano bakery, do visit when in Britomart!

Lovely bakery decoration and smell of new bread. Amazing Wagyu Ciabatta. Love the combination and how it looks. Would come back to try more items on Amano’s counter.

Friendly staff, a lot of different types of desserts and bread. Chose the Kumara sourdough today. Sourdough tastes great. Love the ambiance and the vibrance. Also there was a restaurant connected to the bakery.

Maybe it is no need to explain. This is famous enough already. Great customer service, delicious cake. Unfortunately, a lot of small tiny bugs kept flying around our table maybe because we sit down the counter facing the window. However, we enjoyed the nice baking smells during our stay. We should come back and try the restaurant next time.

Hands down, my favourite bakery and Italian eatery. You cant walk past Amani without being lured in, this time it was an eggplant sandwich freshly made – saw them bring them out from the back and immediately went in to get on for Sunday breakfast! Their croissants are also delightful, and dont get me started in the doughnuts… those bad boys are too good!

I cant even describe in words how amazing the croissants here are… Pastry was flaky as hell. When you bite into it, you can actually hear it breaking apart flake by flake, like music in your mouth. The chocolate hazelnut croissant and an incredible filling that wasnt just plain old Nutella, it was some sort of delicious chocolatey goodness (probably just melted chocolate lmao) and there wasnt too much of it so that the pastry itself was overpowered. The ducle de leche croissant had some sort of nut praline topping and a decadent caramel custard filling. Quite sad that they don’t have these all year round.

Amazing pastries, I went around 1pm and got the last almond croissant with jam. They are so popular and a @cheapeatsnz. The cheese scrolls were so light and fluffy. A must try this summer! –
