So glad to finally get the chance to dine here after seeing that Gordon Ramsay ate here too. BIG fan of Sid Sahrawat. Service was great , food definitely met my expectations. The menu has been crafted really well with a nice selection while still maintaining the authenticity of Indian cuisine. We had the Lamb Kulcha, Fish Tandoori with lime, Eggplant with goats cheese and Caramelised duck. The duck was to die for, the skin nice and crispy and meat is so tender its like fish. im a happy girl.

This cound be the best Indian restaurant in Auckland. I don’t normally eat Indian cuisine, but these are really yum. Food presentation is 5/5, flavour is 5/5, service is good, but should be better. Staff poured water on table but didn’t came to wipe it, and there’s no signal in restaurant, not convenient at all.

We have waited and waited to get into Cassia, finally we went for our valentines dinner. We ordered the tandoori fish and lamb chops for starters. The fish was delicious, so yummy. The lamb was cooked to perfection. Mains we ordered the beef short rib and the caramelised duck. Unfortunately we did not enjoy the beef, the cardamom was so strong it overpowered everything. I actually could only have 2 spoon fulls, was so strong. The duck was delicious, soft and the acidity made that dish.

Managed to get a booking in this place after 3 weeks of waiting! Well worth the wait for sure! The place is very cosy and reminded me of Melbourne. Upon arrival we were seated and served right away, the staff were super impressive and attentive! For starters we had Lamb chops and kebab and both were divine, the serving was also generous. For mains we had Chicken tandoori which was AMAZING and Beef short rib (wasnt too into that one…hmm) however the beef melted in your mouth. Sides we ordered cucumber salad and naan and both were super yummy and complimented the mains. And for dessert we had lychee yogurt which was super delicious and elegant. Overall we had such a wonderful night here and we truly recommend this place! Flavours were traditional yet modern, beautiful plating and the staff were lovely. I Would probably recommend their tasting menu instead of al carte (the cost comes up about the same).

Usually not a fan of Indian food not made by myself or my Mum but this is next level. Takes the wonderful flavours of Indian food and marries them with impeccable technique, quality ingredients and creativity. Such a winner. We had the lamb kulcha, scampi and scallops, seekh kebab and caramelised duck. My favourite was the scampi and scallops. Super fresh raw scallops and a lovely curry leaf and kaffir lime emulsion that was so unique and delicious. Second fave was the seekh kebab, so melty in your mouth and not fibrous with a rich gravy. Omg. I want to go back tomorrow.

Down a set of stairs on the infamous fort lane lies cassia. Indian is my favourite cuisine so i had to try this place out. Awesome little venue that doesnt manage to be too loud. Tried the stuffed lamb kulcha which was ace. The seekh kebab comes with a curry base and was equally as good however i would have preffered a more charred version out of a tandoor. Beef short ribs for the main which were super tender. What ever was on top bought a bice crunchy texture to the dish. Will be back to this one
