Consistently good coffee made by the younger barista but service from the 2 staff behind the counter is mostly below average. The decor is a lil dated but is a classic old school type of coffee shop. It is very hard to come by a cosy lil shop with this type of feel especially in the city. Does not have that mass made coffee club feel. The type of place your nanna comes to. Very cosy. Good coffee, tasty snacks sweet and savory. Extensive range of teas available as well.Staff attitudes just need adjusting. Would have a lot more customers if that issue was addressed.
This should be a cosy coffee place – it is not. The people running it are the most sour couple you could possibly imagine. They look like mother and daughter and they must be genetically linked as it would be impossible for them to stumble across another sharing the same degree of personality problem. Never a warm greeting, never a smile. They barely acknowledge anything that is said to them. They are also unhelpful – today the younger one was disinclined to direct a customer to the upstairs toilet. What a dreadful duo!
My sister had a horrible time there today. The barista was so rude and kept pointing at her today about pushing in front of another customer. She was just looking at the food cabinet. The other customer had not decided what he wanted and had no concerns about my sister looking at the food. The barista was sooo rude and loudly told her off. Not a great customer experience, needless to say there are many other shops nearby that will treat you better.
