Dinner date to celebrate Denny Setiawan presentation of his thesis today.. went to Dennys which open 24 hours only to get hot fudge chocolate, the famous dessert in here.. like this cos its big and yummy.. omg can stop eating this
Nice little booths! I’m always attracted by the breakfast menus but I decided to try a meat lovers skillet, the curly fries as always and a banana split! The portion was really big as per usual! A bit too much cream on the banana split but had several hearty scoops of chocolate and vanilla ice scream! The skillet had roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs with mozzarella cheese and little cut bits of bacon and sausage. Although they weren’t amazingly seasoned, they were still hearty pieces of meat goodness which I appreciate. The curly fries are always a winner for me though! Denny’s will always be my go to for a meal when I’m looking to eat my heart out and not wanna risk getting a tiny expensive meal.
Not sure why this place has such a low rating. I think peoples expectations are too high when it comes to a 24/7 diner They have a high turnover of waitpersons so its best to be direct with what you want, where you want to sit etc. because chances are, the person serving you is new. Their food fills you up, tastes alright, however the main meals do cost a bit too much. I normally just settle for a burger or toasted sandwich. I highly recommend the salted caramel banana pancakes they are really good will always visit dennys for a late night feed, love the chill/quiet/unsnobby atmosphere – which is rare to find in the city.
Came here and had chocolate mud cakes for dessert one night. Thoroughly enjoyed the dessert and found the service and cleanliness of the restaurant to be good. Would recommend it as a good omace for dessert.
