On special mornings, we come walk down to Federal & Wolfe and get their chocolate and coconut loaf as a treat and today we had the BLAT for breakfast. Their food is great, would love to come for breakfast one day when it’s not too busy at work.

Forgot to take a photo but I ordered the Fritters, while my companion ordered the Dukkah eggs.Food: Food was delicious. Fritters were a bit on the light side though – I ought to have added bacon, or a side or fries. Not the texture I imagined – more like a crossbreed between mini omelettes and fritters. Different, but not bad. The dukkah eggs were great and filling. The sour dough was good.Drinks: The green apple fresh juice was incredibly tasty. I ordered an iced americano and appreciated the fact that it was a simple double-shot on ice, topped with cold water. Service: The service was great. Staff were cheerful and helpful, but not overly in your way. Overall, a good experience.

Quite close to my accommodation. One of my friends recommended it to me. To tell the truth, I was not enjoying very well. Coffee too sour, sourdough bread too hard to cut.

Been here a few times now, usually just for a coffee as its just down the road from my apartment. Definitely do a good coffee. Also I remember one time they were closing up while we were having our coffees as it was late in the day and gave us some free muffins which were leftover. Very much appreciated! Came this weekend for some poached eggs on toast, nice little addition of the relish on the side. Would like to try some of the other dishes on the menu. The fit out of the cafe is simple, they use wooden school chairs, which aren’t really the comfiest.

My favourite cafe in the city the service is always friendly and coffee & food are great! If they have their dark chocolate brownies in stock definitely treat yourself, it’s worth it!

Been here twice and thoroughly enjoyed my food on both visits. Service is consistently good and even though I dined alone yesterday, I was allowed to sit anywhere I wanted. The tables by the window are my favourite spots, great for catching up with people or your favourite book. There’s also a long table for bigger groups. Current newspapers are left on the tables for customers to read. I swear I could stay here for the whole day especially with the great coffee that they serve.

Unreal creamy mushrooms! Granola and poached eggs were popular too. Good coffee, service and ambience! Lovely light cafe with decent music too
