This is another cheap lunch option in town. I generally go for the small Flavour of the day $6 which is good value for money. Have tried the small falafel and the steak, both were good and quite filling. I only get the large ($8) if I am feeling exceptionally hungry. They are generous with the salads which they have quite a range of. There’s also a variety of hummus/ dressing and sauce options. It gets busy and the staff are quick however if you want you wrap toasted, you got to wait a bit longer. Cheap, yummy and healthy!
I’m very impressed with the size, the freshness of ingredients and the friendliness of the staff.I will definitely come back here again.Good priceGood serviceGood flavor
Bad service, went there twice for lunch both the times they missed the main ingredients order.Never going back there again.
Used to be consistently good but quality has dropped recently. Some new staff obviously don’t know how to use the hot plate as I was served cold and fatty bacon: not the ideal main ingredient for a pita.
Flavour makes some awesome pitas. Situated on Vulcan Lane, it is a popular place for city goers, university students or people wanting something cheap, fast and tasty. And I can definitely see why. The ordering process is simple and efficient, the staff are friendly, the majority of the pitas are under $10 and the choices are endless. They also have a flavour of the day (regular size for $6), which is fast becoming a popular lunch for me. Their falafel on Wednesdays and roast beef on Fridays are my favourite. But if you are looking for something more exciting, order the Tandoori chicken, and dont forget to add the mango chutney seriously good! They have little to no seating, so best to take your pita outside luckily Freyburg Square is just around the corner, so you can enjoy it in the sun!
Been here 3 times on my first 2 visits the pittas I had babaganosh which you don’t get lots of but the overall taste was good and it was great they had so many vegetarian options! Unlike so many places! However on my 3rd visit the pita wasn’t even full of salad and my partners wasn’t very full either which made it pretty disappointing especially as I had suggested the place! The positives are that its fresh and the staff seem attentive! 🙂
