Have now come here quite a few times. The spicy chicken chicken salad was good, not terribly filling but the sauce was tasty and the vegetables were fresh and crisp. My friend loves the spicy seafood ramen although I havent tried it yet. Chicken karaage is alright, not the best but definitely edible. The fried seafood don was a little disappointing, it consisted of a few pieces of various fried seafood, some salad and a dollop of tartare sauce. It tasted fine but quickly got super dry and boring since there was no other sauce other than the tartare. The tonkotsu ramen was pretty decent although I have yet to try a proper tonkotsu so I dont really have anything to compare it with. Noodles were good, springy and had a bit of bite to them. The toppings were all really nice too. The soup was tasty but super salty, I probably would have preferred to add a tiny bit of hot water just to dilute it a bit. Overall, Id probably come back, its close, the staff are super nice (we once ordered at 8:30 not realising that they close at 8:30 and they didnt even mention it until at the end asking if takeout was okay since they were cleaning up the restaurant soon). The prices are also really reasonable for central cbd food, $10-12 for most of the mains. -update 5 may 2019-Most visits here have been good although the most recent one where we got the spicy seafood ramen was quite disappointing. The noodles were soggy, broth was almost entirely unflavoured and tasted extremely watered down. The seafood was generous though. My friend who’s gotten the seafood ramen multiple times said it normally tastes much different and a lot better so I’m inclined to believe this was a one off thing but just watch out I guess.
Came in for brunch yesterday with friends at around 11am after our lecture. The restaurant just opened so we had to wait a while before the kitchen was ready. The waitress kindly seated us outside until they were ready to serve us. We ordered some ramen, some don, edamame and takoyaki. Takoyaki was really delicious. Better than the ones you usually get at the street food stalls. They gave generous portions of edamame and rice for the don.
