Lovely clean flavours and reasonably priced. Went for the mee goreng which was subtle yet fresh with the inclusion of lemon. I read some of the previous comments about the food being too oily. In my opinion was not oily at all.
Tried the char keow tow here. Was really nice. Will try more from here soon like the Laksa and the curry chicken etc. Most places in this food alley are very good.
Good place to come for lunch when you’re on the go. It’s a hidden place upstairs. Prices are reasonable I thought the roti curry was a bit too fatty but it tasted good as I kept eating.
Easily overlooked being upstairs in Food Alley, but truly authentic kampung style meal and very reasonable price. Always consistent. One of my all time favourite places to eat. Sambal to die for if you like heat!
This place is upstairs at the Albert food hall and it’s amazing. The chef is so friendly and puts so much care into his food and it shows because it’s delicious. It’s the best mee goreng we have tried in New Zealand and $10 for a massive (as in it would feed me for four meals) serve is great value. One of my fave cheap eats in Auckland.
I am surprised by the earlier reviewer. I would rate this place more than OK for the price and taste. I have tried their Mee-goreng and Nasi-lemak on different occasions and have found the taste to be consistent. The price is also competitive as this place co-exists with other Asian eateries in Food Alley. I have not tried their Roti Chanai and hence cannot comment on it. I will try their Roti Chanai next time and will update this comment section. If you work/study in CBD close to Albert Street, give this a try.
It’s ok for lunch on a lazy day
