This is undoubtedly one of my new favourite spots for hotpot. Really like the idea of skewers, it offers lots of variety and you can experience them all or just stick to your preference. I spotted the next table had a cute bear which made of chilli paste/oil. It was so cute that I wanted to join them to take a photo. This place offers a good selection of soup base, I will try their spicy soup base next time.
Skewers and hot pot is actually a good idea. You’re free to try wide variety of foods without having to order a whole plate. All the items on skewers are single portions/bite sized. We tried a variety of skewers and other items they had (sliced lamb, pig blood etc) and couldn’t fault any of it.A standout was the skewered beef items. Meat was extremely tender even when overcooked. The pickle wrapped in beef is delicious especially if you cook it in the spicy soup. Once you pop this tasty little morsel into your salivating mouth, you first get that spicy meaty goodness closely followed by the sour pop from the pickle. The spicy soup base comes with a teddy bear (made of oil) to add to your soup. Watch as it slowly melts away.If you like hotpot and want something different give this place a try.
Good sichuang style hot pot. Use skewers instead of normal hot pot which is easier and more convince. Wilson Car park just at next door and can get discount from frontdesk of restaurant. If u go there early enough you will get the red chilli oil bear, that is pretty cool.
Had dinner in here with friends. Honestly, I got curious about this place thats why I asked my friends to come with me here. Overall, it was okay-ish nothing special about their menu except that the food are skewed as their name says. I find it expensive though, coz a small piece of meat on a skewer is not filling at all. I hope, theyll make the portions bigger coz when you put the tiny pieces of meat in the hotpot it will be gone and drowned in there.
