This is my 3rd high tea and its ok – nice ok. The savouries were good, the scones brilliant but the top tier of goodies either pitiful in size – I mean why have one mini mini sized churro with a whole lot of sauce? Or have an extremely sweet lemon tart that isnt tart? And some sort of chocolate cup that wasnt great. Lastly they didnt have or had forgotten the strawberry milli feuille *sad face I opted for the champagne menu followed with a good coffee. Staff friendly and its ok for a high tea as is the price. The company was great as this was a mother, daughters and sisters get together.

Visited once for high tea with a friend. Neither of us enjoyed any of the foods or beverages. They were stale or too sour or too creamy or just not enough flavour. Tea/coffee were very average. You wouldn’t want to pay premium prices for this kind of experience. The biggest no-no for me at this place was where they held their high tea. It is in their main open lobby area where lots of people walk about, you can hear everything everyone is saying around the lobby area because it echos so loudly and lots of cars drive past so the air is quite dusty as well.Having been to Sofitel that does amazing high tea for the same price (and they also hold their high tea around the main lobby area but it’s not nearly as busy and the hotel is located on a very quiet street), I was definitely disappointed. There is also an open kitchen where people inside were banging things around very loudly that also echos and the overall atmosphere is not classy at all. I would rather go to a local cafe and feel more comfortable having much better quality foods that are reasonably priced. If you are looking for a nice place for high tea I would recommend Sofitel or if you are willing to pay a bit more, I heard Langham is lovely as well.

Organised high tea at the Langham today for a group of 5 pregnant ladies – it was awesome! Highly recommend, they were happy to accomodate for our dietary requirements, staff were great, attentive but not too in your face , and the high tea itself was delicious, portions were great everyone felt very full afterwards and not a thing was left on the stands, standout for me were the scones and the deserts. I had looked at quite a few places offering high tea in the city – and the Stamford was the best price @ $42 pp vs the Langham which was $75.00 pp!!!I have been to the Langham high tea several times before and although it is nice it isn’t better ….. and at that price difference I would chose the Stamford plaza high tea any day of the week.

We came here to celebrate a special occasion. If you’ve never been here for high tea before, ask the bar staff where to go because there doesn’t seem to be a formal system of being seated. I can imagine this would be relatively difficult when busy. There were two other small groups who were also having tea. The food took a while to come to us and it arrived well presented. While there was a great selection of food, the taste was a little hit and miss. Considering the type of establishment this was, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The vanilla scone was absolutely delicious and the churro with caramel was divine. The salmon pie was made with tinned salmon and was not pleasant to eat. The tomato and olive scone was average and was quite dry. The place lacked personality and the staff appeared to be bored and lifeless. To be fair, the price is definitely on the cheaper side however we won’t be back anytime soon.

This place is located in a high-end hotel. Normally, cafes in premium hotels are good. The look and feel of this place is nice. Staff/service needs phenomenal improvement. Food tasted stale, beverages just passable.

Came here for a high tea session with three other girlfriends for a birthday celebration 🙂 We were worried about parking, but this wasnt an issue as you could pay I think it was around 20 dollars for a park at the hotel itself.I was glad to see the cute little cakes and savoury treats on offer on the platter were very varied, ranging from things like blueberry scones, to a tiny tuna nicoise salad to little cups of cheesecake mousses. Some of the sweets were quite sickening tho ( like the baklava), however majority of the servings were enjoyable. If you’re worried about not being full, dont. Because none of us could finish the plates haha. Would recommend this place for a good catch up!p.s. nice choice of teas too

Very average high tea. Very few choices in teas, sandwiches were dry around the edges and relatively small amount of food for the price. And the china was train station heavy – you have to have nice cups for a high tea that you’re paying this much for!If you want a great high tea avoid this and head for the Langham
