Had dinner across the road and decided to end the cold night with a good hot chocolate and shaved mango ice! Nice service. Love the fact that its open late, would definitely come back to have a slice of their cheesecake and coffee.
Cute and aesthetic dessert shop for the gram.Service: 7/10Most things are self service so the workers didnt make a deep impression on me.They were super patient when we took ages to take our order because we were indecisive. The desserts dont take a long time to be served but its mostly ready-made anyways.Food: 6/10I ordered the caramel crumble cheesecake and strawberry snow ice.The cheesecake was a little floppy and didnt really look as good as in the picture. The base was quite greasy and soggy, it didnt really have a crumbly texture. The crumble on top was a little better. The filling was very creamy and thick. The caramel flavour was pretty evident. The snow ice was very pretty. The taste was a little fake and artificial, but it was still good. The ice cream was milky and sweet, and contrasted the tartness of the strawberries.Ambiance: 9/10The entire store is so cute and fashionable. The mint green colour looks so aesthetic and the furniture is adorable. The whole theme of the restaurant goes perfectly with the style of food.Everything is super clean and tidy. There are a lot of seats outdoors and indoors, and it doesnt feel cramped at all.I quite liked the cheesecake and I would like to try the other flavours.
Ordered the stone rolled ice cream & the green tea shaved ice in a cup. The rolled stone ice cream was nothing amazing, just ice cream rolled up. But I guess it was nice watching them make it haha.On the other hand, the green tea shaved ice was a lot better than what I remembered it was like when Mellow first opened years ago. The corn flakes were super crispy & not soggy. The ice cream was the high light as it was super creamy & so good!! I really like how they have a cup option now as its perfect size to have for an individual.I used to prefer snowman over mellow, but to be honest after this visit, prefer Mellow as they dont drench heaps of syrup all over their shaved ice & its not extremely sweet.
They got pretty drinks and cakes. Flavour good too. Environment was clean and decor full of light blue and white, looks really refresh. My daughter loves eat dessert here.
I always love dessert! Mellow is situated on a very good location. The scrolls are not too sweet. They are perfect, and look just how cute the coffee is! I have no complaints and wouldn’t change a thing. Their snow ices are also amazing and generous.
Went here with a friend of mine as we were both craving something sweet! The Taro cheesecake was nicely made and not too overwhelmingly sweet. My friend got a flat white whereas I got an iced chocolate which was delicious. But the main tastebud tantalizers from Mellow are the shaved ice. My friend and I had the mango shaved ice which was sooo satisfying on a hot summer day. The mango pieces were juicy and sweet and the vanilla ice cream with the mango drizzle complemented each other well. Would come here again if my sweet tooth is tingling 🙂
Been here a couple of times for their green tea rolled ice cream, which is great, but the one we had that night wasnt the best looking (it was made by a trainee so fair enough, everyones gotta learn right?). At least it tasted good. The Oreo crepe cake tasted nothing of Oreo, just plain whipped cream and the crepes themselves were stale and rubbery. There was also waaayyy too much cream to crepe… legit only like 8 layers. If you want good crepe cake just visit Fukurou Patisserie inside the Newmarket train station. The first couple bites of the caramel crumble cheesecake were good, but then the taste of too much baking soda started coming through and made me gag. Some bites had a weird bitter taste that neither my friends or I could identify. In the end, the rolled ice cream, made by a trainee, saved the day.
