Good service and wonderful view. Food was very very average. My favourite dish would be the scallops, they were nicely seasoned and warm. The steak and lamb were very average. They had soggy vegetables, reminded me of airplane food and bland in taste. The steak was barely medium rare, more on the medium side and the lamb was so tough to chew. Not worth what we were paying for.
Great service! $80 3 course meals on a Thursday night isnt too bad. Started with the fried squid which was nice, for mains I had the eye fillet with Kumara which was a little blend. Felt like it needed some butter and garlic and herbs but thats my personal preference. The best meal of the 3 course was definitely the dessert! Tried the cheesecake which was wonderfully presented and tasted so delicious. Great experience and lovely venue but unlikely to go again as I feel the Sugar Club has a better atmosphere, bar, service and meals.
The 360 view was exceptional and definitely enjoyed the Auckland city scenery while dining. There were some parts of the windows had scales and do need require cleaning. Lost points were really the food. They were over cooked and lost the taste. When it came to wine recommendations, the waiters need culinary training.
The most stunning views in Auckland! Totally worth going for the experience. But as always- food is the most crucial part- and I was a bit disappointed with the main pasta dish – of course, being vegetarian it is difficult to get very good tasting vegetarian food everywhere. I wish they would give better vegetarian options. Hence only 4 stars.
If you come here for view. That’s fine. If you want nice food, theb you might be disappoint. Food is average, i rather go sugar club. But their service is nice and friendly very professional. So still 4 stars
We have been here a few times as its a great place to take family or friends from overseas- its an unique dining experience. This restaurant does offer great views of Auckland as promised. However, the food failed to impress me. A lot of the dishes seemed to be extremely simple ones such as beef with boiled peas and fries… doesnt take that much effort to boil some peas. Extremely overpriced for what you get- portions are small and most of the dishes are very easy to make. I would only recommend this place for tourists or if you want dinner with a nice view. Ive been to a lot of fine dining restaurants all over the world and this was definitely not a fine dining experience for me- nothing special. Just average.
We went to Orbit 360 Dining during July 2018 and despite giving a few (or a few more than a few) five stars out, this is the only restaurant I would give a 10/10 to. The food, the service, the ambience and the experience were all unbeatable. Our waiter was a very friendly, funny, polite and well mannered young man who paid the perfect amount of attention to us without being overbearing (the perfect waiter). The food had so much depth of flavour and thought that it absolutely sung from the plate to the palate. I cannot wait for the next time my tastebuds are graced by the food produced by Orbit. Absolutely amazing.
