We first paid a visit to Ortolana for a cheeky mid-week dinner to satisfy our pasta cravings, and our (great) expectations were easily exceeded. It’s a tough call whether the restaurants dcor or food is more impressive. We sat outdoors at one of the cosy tables lit up by Britomarts sparkling fairy lights, but the tables inside the restaurants aesthetic wood and glass structure looked equally as appealing.We ordered the pumpkin gnudi (delicious) and the mushroom pappardalle (tender and succulent, everything youd want fresh pasta to be). Surprisingly however, the most outstanding dish for all of us was the starter- the quattro formaggio piadina; an oozing, flavoursome mess of Italian flatbread stuffed with cheese. We also got a side of cauliflower which we could have done without ordering- it was a little lacking in flavor. Would highly recommend this place to all the pasta lovers out there, great ambience, delicious food and overall very pleasant dining experience!
