Finally tried this place and it didnt disappoint! Got tuna and salmon half and half and got a decent portion of both for the regular box! Also got salad and rice half and half. Fresh and delicious! Only thing is there isnt much choice when it comes to salad toppings and sauces. Only 3 sauces and I got them all and it was great but yeah no choice if you wanted something abit different was my only complaint!
This place has an amazingly simple menu with only 4 items on it. The bowls here are very well made, the people running the place are really cool. So if you want a quick, healthy and delicious meal, go for Shaka Bowl. I highly recommend it if you want to go for a Pok bowl.
Instead of lining up for sushi, I recommend you grab a pok bowl from Shaka Bowl the next time you find yourself on High Street during lunch hour. Shaka Bowls pok is a little bit fruiter that other places around town, but its still a pretty solid savoury lunch dish. In particular, I really enjoy their contrasting textures of pomegranate, shallot, and edamame beans the ingredients work so well together! For your 1 protein choice, you can ask them for half salmon and half tuna, and there are 3 types of sauces to cover a range of spice tolerances. In terms of improvements, the only thing I can think of is that it would be amazing if they offered other types of rice (like purple or brown). Food and service at Shaka Bowl is great but its not somewhere Id lunch at every day because their prices are on the higher end of the scale.
The young dude is friendly and efficient when preparing the order. Large size $16.90 is a bit expensive but you get fresh greenful of dish with choice of your protein.
