Friendly staff, quick service, great chips and even better steak! One of the best deals in town in terms of efficiency and affordability. Can’t wait to come again sometime soon
I found this place fairly miserable on a Friday night after work. Loud and packed full of people, it is not a place I would normally choose to go.I was surprised by the drink selection when I was told there were at least five types of cider. The curly fries were fine but the pizza was a dripping, greasy mess.
Casual bar. Nothing fancy. Great daily deals. A must try for a Wed night, which is steak night plus 3 beers or 2 pints or 2 glasses of wine for 20 bucks. Such a deal! The bar gets rather packed so best to come here about 6ish. Steak was cooked perfectly..medium rare and sooo good! Chunky chips were burnt and not looking fresh. They probably reuse the oil that’s why. For the steak it’s definitely worth it with 3 Heineken bottles. Really downed the meal nicely and was stuffed after. Price’s for beer and drinks are affordable even without the deal. 5 bucks for a Heineken bottle. Definitely competitive prices in comparison to other city bars. Service is also friendly and efficient.
I actually really enjoyed this place. Until after spending ~$150 on drinks on Friday night, my friends and I were asked to leave if we weren’t going to buy anymore drinks (at about 10:30pm). Quite disappointed, can’t say this has ever happened before.
i had my fiftieth birthday at spitting and i was impressed with the way all of our crowd was treated. i have to admit my crowd of nearly 50 odd took up a large portion of the inside and outside and i never once saw anyone get bounced. although some of my guests came late so they were stopped at the door….but hey you snooze you lose!!! i like spitting feathers like the atmosphere the drinks and the international staff hahahaha….long may it stay open churrr
Recently had my mini birthday bash here before we headed off to our next spot: I love spitting feathers the atmosphere it’s great, the prices are in point , the staff are pretty decent and it’s not crazy noisy. What’s really disappointing is there is no security. I cut my time short and shifted my crew of twenty on quickly after a severely intoxicated man whom had just walked into the window – tried to start a physical fight firstly with one of my female friends and then male! The surprising and disappointing thing was due to no real security he was not removed – so we chose to leave instead. Love this place but not keen on the fact they have no security.
In conclusion, its not the most comfortable place to have a drink and cigarette especially if the weathers bad but the vibe is fun and $4 Heinekens? In TOWN? Well definitely be back. livernlungs.com
