If you’ve been to Renkon, Soul Sushi, and other jap restaurants then don’t go here for Gourmet type food, stay away from Karaage Chicken, they slapped some chicken in some sauce and called it a day. No crispness no nothing just utter disappointment.Even KFC next door was better
Convenient place to grab a sushi on the go if you are on a rush.Sushi was ok, rice was a bit dry but the salmon itself was quite fresh and tasted nice.Again, this is place for a quick meal dont expect to have a super high end sushi.
This sushi shop gave me bad impression on Japanese food. Overpriced, unfriendly and horrible food here. Actually food is not fresh at all. I will NEVER come again. It is not worth buying
Been visiting this place for lunch quite often now. They buck the trend of picking your own sushi and instead offer prepacked sushi, or rice bowl. The selection is pretty wide, you could be having plain old teriyaki chicken sushi to a large Bento box, or a salad bowl with rice like the one in my photo. If these don’t suit, during lunchtimes you can assemble your own rice bowl with 2 meats and salad included for $10.50. The food here is always very fresh. They’ve got a decent seating area so if you want to just eat and go, it’s pretty handy. However I don’t recommend this since I did walk out smelling a little like food, even with just the 15-20mins in there. The only thing I wish they would have is a loyalty card.
Go for the nigiri combo or if you can do spicy then the dynamite. This place is always buzzing and depending on when you go the seats may be all taken but definitely worth the visit. This place is like a miniature version of the albert st store.
This place used to be one of the best, but the past 12 months has been going downhill drastically. Their sushi is like it has been sitting for days. I stopped purchasing the sushi and my regular meal became the Don which was very tasty and a fantastic portion…at first. Over the past few months you definitely get less for your buck when order the Don, the bowls are 3/4 fill of rice and the other 1/4 is left for your meat & salad which lately has been less than 5 pieces of meat and 2-3 mouthfills of salad. They have started selling salad bowls which are ok, if you don’t mind dry, often burnt chewy meat and salad that is so old it probably has a day left of consumption before making anyone sick. Such a shame as they are handy to my work, but I have been visiting less frequently (used to be 3-4 times a week now you’re lucky if I go in bi-monthly – the only reason I do go back is on the offchance they have improved). They need to get back to their standards of 2 years ago. Unsure why the manager has not thought of this as they used to sell out of their sushi by 1pm but now you can go in at 3pm and they are pretty much fully stocked
I have bought a $5 voucher deal for a $10 rice with meat bowl, my bowl was just 1/3 full, only 1 cm of rice at the bottom. I had ordered spicy chicken, not much chicken, and a bit cold, it didn’t worth even $5. I will not go again and not recommended.
