The food was okay. There’s nothing quite eye popping about it and there’s nothing that’s despicable either. It’s just okay. The staff is moderately nice and polite. The store is not huge or small either. It just seems moderate in every aspect.

This is a lovely place for perfect Indian food.. a reasonably priced and good place…I got there very frequently for their aloo parantha and chana bhatura.. friendly staff.

hi… I walkin one rainy day to grab a lunch for myself. Taj mahal is admirable masterpiece…going with the name itself my expectations for food were high… sorry Curry could have been better but chapati was half cooked that day for me… maybe it’s just by chance.. not sure if I’ll try again for that experience.

Had Thali. Curries were with lot of turmeric and oil. No taste. Service was poor. The desert gulab jamun was like a hard rubber ball. The offered water glass was also not very clean so was not sure what I was drinking.

Happened to visit this restaurant while exploring Auckland on foot and decided to try this place . Best Indian food we had during our 15 days north and South Island trip was here at Taj Mahal. Unfortunately we were in Auckland just for one day so dined here thrice. . Food here is lip smacking delicious . They have amazing thali for 13$ and you get 3 curry of your choice with roto or rice and sweet. We tried butter chicken, mango chicken, mango lassi, Samosa chat, veg Manchurian, aloo beans and we just loved all the dishes .We loved the food so much that we complimented the chef as well and had a good conversation with him. Really surprised to find no reviews for this restaurant. Chef told us they opened this restaurant just 3 months back. Try this place if you are close to sky tower

Well, the food is cheap but main problem is quality and taste. Price is fair but it doesn’t mean you serve food as considering low price. Have been there 2-3 times.

I tried this place twice last year when I visited Auckland and found the food to be average but good value for money. But had a bad experience this year. At 8pm they didn’t have any more thalis to serve. They didn’t have amritsari kulcha or any other bread cooked in tandoor as tandoor was busy cooking chicken, that meant 80% of their menu was unavailable. Also, being an indian restaurant they would know how particular some people are w.r.t. veg food being cooked separately. Having a single tandoor and thalis not available at 8pm seems to be signs of badly managed and under-resourced restaurant. Wont be going here again.
