Had the vege burger here. It was ok, pretty hard to eat as the halloumi and mushrooms were massive pieces so kept falling out. But it tasted pretty good. Its at a really busy corner so it was packed at lunchtime. Its not bad but I wouldnt rave about it to make a come back.
Relaxed brew bar in central location with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and fantastic selection of craft beers. Also one of the best fish burgers in Auckland, love those buttery brioche buns 🙂 European style people watching on the road with quick and friendly service to keep any amateur diner satisfied!
I usually like going to Breweries. This place is located on Vic St in a very busy location. Its especially packed on weekends and sunny evenings.Had a couple of beers with fries. Tjey give massive amount of fries, enough for 3!Had tap beers which are not on the menu but available over the counter. They have good spread of beers and the ambience is friendly. Not a super classy place but a good one to visit every now and then.
First and foremost, I dont drink much beer. I only went here because my friend wanted to try the place out. At some point I just gave up and chose what I thought was good and I was wrong. It was so bitter but then again, my friend told me crafts beer are usually bitter. Then I got the fish and chips which were yummy. I couldnt even finish my food cuz I was full.
A great selection of micro-brews on tap. I didn’t see any of the big names, which was pleasant to see. The venue itself is nice, if a little ‘grungey, and they appear to be saving on electricity by having the lightning set to ‘mood lighting level 5’. I guess thats so you can just enjoy your beer in peace without looking at the person you are with (or even knowing if they are still there!)Has a distinct ‘Wellington’ vib, which I’m OK with. A great selection of beers, and the hips came out wrapped in paper with healthy selection of condiments! All in all a good option for some after work drinks!
I went here with some colleagues last Friday. To be truely honestly it was a weird, but satisfying experience. Firstly the fitout and decor is awesome, creating a comfortable cool feel to it. They have a salad bar available and you can just take a menu sit at a table and then order at the bar when your ready. They have a bit of a kiwi theme going on so they bring all the meals out wrapped in fish and chip newspaper, which is cool but a little hard to unravel!! My burger was very over cooked and needed more sauce for sure. However my colleagues got fish and a salad from the salad bar and they said they loved loved their food. All up it was $60ish for three of us including a drink each as well, so very reasonably priced
Came here for lunch after waiting over an hour for lunch at the Empire across the road. Greeted by a lovely waiter who found our group a table no problem. All of us chose different items from the menu & loved the food we received. The fish was lovely & fresh & the chips were tasty. Their drinks menu is heaven for your craft beer connoisseur. Lovely food, relaxed vibe, friendly service. We will definitely be back.
