I had really horrible experience today, I bought chocolate cheesecake they gave a me heaps of fungus free of charge, I felt little bit awkward when eating , cheesecake was not smooth it was hard but I thought that might be the texture but finally I realised that piece was too old , then I checked cake in showcase the whole chocolate cake was with heaps of fungus, just be careful guys.
I think the shakes feel a little like they used primo in it… the chocolate one was better than the strawberry one in my experience. But other than that it was ok and the best Ive had.
Friendly staff and awesome ice cream, can’t go wrong! Been there several times and have yet to be disappointed. Lovely selection of sweet treats that keep each visit exciting.
Amazing place to visit 🙂 there are only few places where you can food of your choice and this is one of the best one .We ordered the milk shake, sandwich and cheesecake. All were delicious.Even the staff is so helpful and so soft spoken . that we would definitely want to go here again and again.
Driving past this place with a few mates we decided to stop and try out the self proclaimed number 1 milkshakes voted best in 2015 and 2016. I asked the owners who voted them and they just said anchor (Not sure how that works). I asked the lady at the counter I’ll have 3 chocolate milkshakes. They only have a large size which costs $8 with no small option. 3 chocolate milkshakes took about 15mins to make. While I was waiting for my order I decided to jump on Google and searched up best milkshake in Auckland and surprise, no mention of snacks & scoops in any search. The chocolate flavoured milkshakes were below average and the more you drink the more you hate it and question how and why it was voted number 1. I have had better at chocolate boutique or even a chocolate flake shake from Wendy’s is a far better option.
We ordered two of their so called ”award winning” strawberry milkshakes and two pies (one lamb and one butterchicken). The milkshakes were not mixed properly, full of icey pieces and really tasted like defrosted milk, with leftover icey flakes and a slight hint of strawberry… Very, very slight. The pies got served without being cooked through and were cold in the middle. We send them back, came out still not fully cooked through: the pastry was chewy and not flakey as a pie is supposed to be. Quite clearly just microwaved.
Every time I pass by the Great North road I make a point to stop by this very cosy shop @ the corner of Avondale Roundabout. Now its kind of getting a habit lately. Weired!!!My recommendation is Whitakers Chocolate Milk Shake which is surely a heavenly divine for which they have won the 1st prize. I would be surprised if they wouldnt have. But the friendly staff enlightened me that this is the second year in a row winning the 1st prize apparently last year they won for Strawberry milk shake. Which is really great as their R&D team is surely doing a good job. I am sure they must have the top notch team to come up with even better products every year. Thank you Snacks &Scoops your chocolate milk shake is surely the best.
