My workshop is not far from here. When I am not or on site I will go here for lunch almost every day! 100% recommendations. Huge variety of sushi for $1 the sashimi sushi is massive and still $1! Hot food is great. Sashimi is great. A colleague and myself like to have 1000 island in our sushi and the owner happily covers the sushi in delicious sauce. More than happy when I ask for extra ginger. Great environment, great service and most importantly great food for a great price!
I come here on the odd occasion when I don’t want to travel far and want some sushi. The owners are so so nice. They’re Korean so I don’t know if it subtracts from the authenticity of the sushi but I find that there is so much variety and you can also buy hot food. Pretty cheap, not much to say about the decor of the place. Good for a fast easy sushi fix!
I went in for the main menu food which were just above average. I ordered the dinner box for myself and Udon (which was pretty good) for my brother. The taste was more korean then Japanese though which is getting more common in auckland as korean people tend to run japanese restaurants. Can’t really complain for the cheap price range. Suitable for a no fuss quick lunch but if you are looking for real japanese taste, don’t expect that from here.
I have been here twice so far and the sushi is fabulous! It’s very cheap too as most pieces are only $1 each. They have a great selection from ordinary sushi to hot deep fried food to food from a menu. It’s a cute little store and the staff are very friendly. It’s my new favorite as it’s only a cheeky 2 minute walk from my house!
