First time here and it was as exciting as the ringing on the pokie machines, NOT! The young bartender was friendly but lacked that special customer service banter that made you feel welcomed or even want to go back. We ordered the pepperoni and mushroom pizza wildfires. It needed some seasoning but was okay to eat. The rekordorlig cider I had was $13 and my Hubby had a cocktail that just tasted like a cordial drink (can’t remember the name it wasn’t nice at all). Decor is sad, floor and seats in booths need an upgrade plus exposed ceiling needs maintenance and also a flick of paint on the doors wouldn’t go amiss because I wasn’t quite sure if it was polka dots I was seeing or various sized missing paint spots. The older lady who worked there had terrible people skills. She lacked severe motivation and customer service skills really let this place down as she didn’t care to look up and at least smile? It was only like 7:30pm and the fact that there were only 3 people drinking at the bar and 2 other people eating food, she was not busy at all. Such a shame because from the outside it looked nice but it wasn’t it was very cold. Highlight though – great sound system and awesome music. Time to vamp up the place don’t you think?

They have specials on the board every day so sometimes you even get free complimentary snacks with your order. The staff are always so friendly and attentive. Lovely to have this place in our community!
The Avondale Taphouse is the perfect place to go for a craft beer and a pizza. The food and beer are very reasonablely priced and there is an extensive range of beer available. There is a happy hour from 5pm to 7pm and they even put out some complementary food. It is also the best place to watch the big sporting games but get there early or you may not get a table.There is a really nice feel about the place and the staff are very friendly and eagar to help make your visit a very enjoyable experience. So check it out , I was very surprized that there was such a little gem in Avondale.
