absolutely no flavour, tasted and looked like an instant soup sachet with vegetables added, not sure why places like this exist, a let down for Thai cuisine.
There were amazing taste !! My one of favorite food here is pad ze eww. I really really love it 🙂 You should try if you go around balmoral it might be a good choice for you
Now there are heaps of thai places on dominion road! I have tried every single one of them and go to many on a regular basis. Now for Boonchu – I have to admit this is by far the best. Yes it’s not a fancy restaurant, yes it’s not massive, but that’s the beauty of it. It’s a small joint run by a small family. Always consistent, high quality, plenty of veges, and great flavours. Never let down about this place. Their pad kee mao, chicken cashew, green curry, red curry, satay chicken, and pad see ew are killer dishes.
Boonchu has friendly staff, it has a decent price for Thai food. I feel like they require a renovation or upgrade. Other than that the food taste really good definitely worth it.

Definitely the best Thai Restaurant on Dominion Road in terms both service and food. Boonchu is a tiny restaurant located at the corner of Dominion Road and Terryson Street. It has a very simple orange coloured wall and a few Thai photography on the wall. The staff here is friendly and helpful, the tables are always clean.I love how they have ice cold water to help us digest the food, the food itself is amazing. I love their Tom Kha Gai and Tom Yum Gai as well as their Thai curry options. My partner and I come here at least once a month because we love Boonchu very much.
This place gets really busy expect wait times of an hour for take away. But the food is good especially love the tum yum soup and pad thai noodles.
