Been going here for decades. Always excellent value for money, prices very reasonable, exceptional quality, perfectly cooked, great seasoning, not too much and just enough. Excellent portions. Never found another FnC place that can even come close.
BHB Fisheries, My wife and I think this place has the best fish and chips around ,I always ask for the Fish & Chips well done and end up with lovely fresh fish and crispy golden chips.Their Snapper burgers are also great with a whole Snapper fillet sticking out both sides of the bun.All the other food we have tried is always high quality , tasty and cooked in vegetable oil. Do try, to see for yourself. 2 Thumbs up.
Hands down the best. I would be absolutely sad if you ever closed down! Lightly battered Tarakihi fillets topped with lemon & pepper salt always cooked to perfection, and melts in your mouth! yummy hotdogs, crunchy chips, A M A Z I N G PINEAPPLE FRITTERS! *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED* and the Tartare Sauce goes really well with the fish and chips! Perfect kiwi feed! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! MY GO-TO, never seems to disappoint!
Chips were very oily and flavorless, potatoes fritters were so oily that they were inedible and burger bun was so soggy it was basically mush. Would not go back.
The best fish and chips I’ve ever had!!The batter is super crisp and not oily or soggy, with perfectly soft fish inside that isn’t dry or overcooked. They also sprinkle lemon and herb salt on it which makes it even more tastier.They are purely a ‘fish and chips’ shop with no other chinese/asian dishes on the menu, so you know they specialise in what they do.Only downside is that they don’t serve the fish with fresh lemon wedges.
Amazing fish and chips. Always busy so wait time varies. Service can be rude, but the food is good. It’s the ‘go to’ place for fish and chips.
Blockhouse fisheries are consistently good & perfect for pleasing both meat eaters and vegetarians! Good sized portions and reasonably priced.
